Title: The Nalanda Manuscript

Genre: Historical

Review:

This book is a fast-paced historical thriller that beautifully connects the ancient past with modern-day danger. The story begins by reminding us of Nalanda, the legendary centre of learning in ancient India, whose vast libraries were destroyed in 1193 AD. It also draws a parallel with Timbuktu, another great hub of knowledge in Africa, where priceless manuscripts were hidden to protect them from colonial plunder. This background sets a powerful tone, showing how human greed and violence have repeatedly tried to erase knowledge, yet people have always fought to preserve it.

The main story unfolds in the present, when a rare manuscript bearing the seal of Nalanda is discovered deep in the Sahara. Abdel Haidara, a Timbuktien antiquarian, is trying to recover lost manuscripts, while Izak Kaurben, an ex-paratrooper working with Indian authorities, travels to Timbuktu to bring the Nalanda manuscript back to India. Just when the mission seems hopeful, a brutal terror group called Qānūn ad-Dam kidnaps Abdel and the Chancellor of the New Nalanda University, leaving Izak badly injured.

The final part of the book is tense and emotional, as an injured Izak teams up with local Timbuktiens to race against time. If Abdel is killed, the Nalanda Manuscript will be lost forever because only he knows where it is hidden. The rescue mission highlights courage, friendship, and the shared responsibility of protecting human history. Written in simple but gripping language, the book is not just an adventure story—it

 Title: Urdhva

Genre: Non- Fiction

Review:

This book is a deeply reflective and spiritual book that invites readers to look beyond modern material life and reconnect with ancient wisdom. It suggests that many of today’s serious problems such as climate change, moral confusion, and cultural loss exist because humanity has forgotten its spiritual foundation. The book explains that Indian civilization once lived in harmony with nature, ethics, and consciousness, guided by Dharma, which acted as the balance between inner values and outer actions which is certainly true.

The book does not follow a typical story but unfolds like a journey of remembrance. Through ideas drawn from Sanātana philosophy, it shows how colonization and modern thinking slowly disconnected people from their roots. The author challenges shallow modern beliefs and encourages readers to reflect on how true progress must include moral responsibility, self-awareness, and respect for life.

The book inspires seekers, leaders, and thoughtful readers to realign their lives with Dharma and live with purpose and balance. The book leaves a lasting impression by reminding us that real transformation begins within, and only then can society and civilization truly heal. You should definitely read this book if non- fictional reads interest you.

This book is an emotional poetry collection that explores self-understanding, social reality, love, pain, and hope. The book gives voice to feelings that often remain unspoken and turns inner silence into meaningful expression. Through simple yet heartfelt language, the poet allows readers to connect deeply with emotions that feel both personal and universal.

Title: Land Acquisition Saga Of Bengal

Genre: Non- fiction

Review:

This book is a detailed and well-researched book that explains how land, power, and politics shaped Bengal’s history. The author focuses on the colonial period, especially the zamindari system, where a small group of landlords controlled vast lands while peasants suffered exploitation and poverty. The author shows that this unequal land ownership created deep class divisions and unrest in rural Bengal. These long-standing problems later played a major role in shaping social tensions and political movements in the region.

The book also closely examines the period around the Partition of Bengal and its long-lasting effects. The author explains how land disputes, refugee settlements, and sudden changes in ownership intensified communal and economic conflicts. The countryside of Bengal became a space where political ideologies clashed, with parties like the Congress and later the Left trying to address peasant demands in different ways. However, the author critically points out that many land reforms were slow, incomplete, or driven by political interests, which often worsened existing divisions instead of healing them.

One of the strongest aspects of the book is its focus on ordinary people peasants, refugees, and local activists whose voices are often missing from mainstream history. Written in an academic yet meaningful manner, the book helps readers understand how past land policies continue to influence present-day politics and society in Bengal. It is especially useful for students and readers who want to understand the roots of land conflicts and social struggles in simple and clear terms.
