Book Review !!

 Title: Fractured Echoes

Genre: Psychological Thriller

Review:

This is a tense psychological story set in the town of Blackpool. The story follows Mick Holden, a man who lives a lonely and routine life, trying hard to stay away from his past. His days are dull and predictable. Later, Mick starts hearing answers on the television before questions are asked. People around him repeat the same sentences as if stuck in a loop. Some days seem to restart but end differently the second time. These small cracks in reality slowly grow into something frightening.

Things become more serious when people begin to disappear, and no one remembers they ever existed. Mick soon meets Alice Whittaker, a journalist who has noticed the same strange changes. Unlike others, Alice does not forget. Together, Mick and Alice begin to compare their experiences and realize that Blackpool itself is being edited. The novel strongly explores the ideas of memory, identity, and control. It asks an unsettling question: If your memories are taken away, who are you? Mick’s struggle is not just against an unknown force, but against his own fading understanding of reality. The story shows how easily truth can disappear when people stop questioning what they see.

The author builds suspense gradually, using repetition and confusion to make the reader feel as lost as Mick. The town feels empty, cold, and haunting, adding to the psychological tension. The story stays with you even after it ends, making you reflect on how much of your life depends on what you remember and what might happen if that is taken away.
