 Title: The Dockmaster’s Daughter

Author: Zach

Genre: Fiction

Review:

Do you believe in dreams ?

A relaxing story. The story revolves around two girls who drowned at the dock of Widow’s Lake  ten years ago. No one knew how ! After years, Samuel saw a dream of dock master’s daughter and describes the heaven she is living in with her lover, Crissa. She asks Samuel to bring Greg with him to the heaven and told him the way to reach there. How ? Will he go ? Who was Greg ?

This is a dreamy fictional story that will be loved by each and every person. The language is simple and easy to understand. I would like to appreciate the creativity of the author, it’s a short and an enjoyable read. The cover is simple and beautiful with a lovely title.

 Title: Haunted

Author: Douglas

Genre: Action

Review:

This is an action packed thriller book. The story revolves around FBI agent Kirk Ingram and was unfortunate to see his own wife and daughter being murdered in front of his eyes.

It was very sad and depressing to see the struggles of Kirk. Following a tip-off concerning a human trafficking ring in Los Angeles, Ingram leads a disasterous federal raid on a warehouse owned by Gunther Trade. The topics involved are very important to understand as it covers a lot of social issues.

Diving to recover historic artefacts from a shipwreck, marine archaeologist Edward Gunner is attacked and his yacht sunk. Within hours, his daughter, Amanda, is running for her life. Only a fortitious encounter with Ingram saves her.

As Ingram goes head-to-head with businessman Lars Gunther, clues from the Gunner case reveal Gunther Trade is the common denominator in the FBI and LAPD investigations... and might even answer the questions facing every intelligence agency: Who has Citex? What are the targets? Will he be able to save Edward ?

A very mysterious read. A different plot. The language is simple and easy to understand. The characterisation is simple. I love the writing style of the author. This book should definitively be made as a movie too.

 Title: Love & Gaslight

Author: Vironika

Genre: Poetry

Review:

This is the second book I’ve read by the poetess. It’s again a poetry book that is full of emotions. The poems depict the life of a woman going through different phases of life. Most of the readers could relate to each word because that’s heartfelt.

More than a poetry book, Love and Gaslight is a story. Divided into five chapters, it sparks with one woman's decision to leave an unhappy relationship. Her choice begins a painful unraveling. Poem by poem, she searches for lost innocence and unpalatable truth.

Love and Gaslight is raw, political, and transgressive. It's edgy, feminist, and relevant. Most importantly, it's honest. You will feel it. Whether it makes you feel sad, glad, or attacked, it will also make you feel brave enough to speak your truth.

I loved the boldness the poetess had described in her work. Every woman should read and accept the life. Every poem is beautiful and heart touching.

The cover is beautiful with a beautiful title. Loved it throughly.
