Book Review !!

 Title: Melancholic Madness

Author: Alarka Shiva

Genre: Short Stories

Review:

Blurb:

God is a gambler. He tests us by pushing our thoughts - thoughts about money, sex, greed, and love. At the same time, he wants us to control our will and enlighten ourselves by deleting the link between the thought and the brain, where that thought is created. Through this collection of short stories, the author tries capture the dilemma of human mind, it's the eternal struggle between the light and darkness, and the grey zone in between, which makes us what we are.

Title:

The title is appropriate with the stories. A unique title. I picked this book because of the title.

Cover:

The cover is horror which is according to the stories. The stories deal with the bad habits of human beings like every other lustful thing, cigarettes, sex, alcohol etc.

Language:

The language is simple and easy to understand. This book is a different read from other books as the author has chosen a different theme.

This book is not recommended to children, everyone should read who is above 18 years of age.

My perspective:

This book is a collection of 9 short stories mentioned below which talks about different bad habits and teaches different lessons.

1.Ingrain

2.4 O’clock

3.NJ’s Story

4.Mourning

5.Plunge

6.The Stump Puller
