Author Interview !!
- Kindly introduce yourself. My name is Cathy-Anne Mannix. I am another of three and a full time carer of 7 people.
- When did you start writing? I only started writing about a year ago.
- Which’s your favourite genre and who’s your inspiration? I have two favourite genres. I love fantasy and crime. My inspiration......I have a few authors that have inspired my love of writing. Mainly Patricia Cornwell, Trina M Lee, Sarra Cannon and Elicia Hyder.
- When are you releasing your next book? My next book is currently in progress and hopefully should be released early 2022.
- Why did you write fiction genre? It is easier for me to let my imagination run wild when I have fewer restrictions.
- What are the advice you would like to give to the aspiring writers? Just go for it. No matter how scary it seems....just go for it!
- What makes you smile the most? Hearing that others enjoyed my writing.
- What are the challenges you faced while writing your books? The main challenges for me were the fact I didn't have any faith in my abilities. It was after I told a friend I was doing this and she was excited to read my book, that I felt I could achieve this.
- Do you genuinely read the reviews? Does negative reviews and comments affects you? I always read reviews. Constructive criticism is good for the soul but nasty and unnecessary comments are not fun to read.
- Did your family support you in writing? My family have been the driving force behind my passion. I have been blessed with very supportive friends as well.
