 Title: New Beginnings

Author: Michele

Genre: Short Stories

Review:

Four stories, completely different, varying genres, settings, time elements; some magical, some non-magical, all with characters of varying flaws and degrees of humanity, but with the inflection that there is goodness in life, and while some things in life you feel, others you know without a doubt.

Meet Neil and Gwen, an unlikely pair of traveling companions. They share a simple trip: one leg on a flight home. Neil soon learns that a stranger can have a large impact on the bigger picture of your life.

Autumn is a special time of celebration. It can span centuries; it can touch lives. Cultures have long celebrated the seasons. Autumn dances is a whimsical favorite.

Sierra Danes. She is a free-lance writer working from the seat of her motorcycle. With photography and rock climbing as hobbies, she makes her way around the country, meeting deadlines as she goes...maybe getting into some trouble;)

Marissa works at her family's loading dock as a logistics specialist. However, when family members start to go missing, it may not be a good day to be a Wainwright!

A marvellous collection of 4 stories. My favourite story is of Neil and Gwen one. Every story is beautiful with different characters and are of different genres. A positive and a short read.

The cover is simple and beautiful with a lovely title. I would recommend this short story book to every reader. You’ll enjoy reading it.

 Title: Rock Solid- 4

Author: M.J. Roberts

Genre: Fiction

Review:

Tremor: Nobody expects a bassist to be an ace cyber hacker and that’s just the way I like it. But now a mole has infiltrated the deepest layers of government and I’m charged with ferreting him out. Which would be enough on its’ own. Except I also have to take care of my recently abandoned seven-year-old niece, tour with my now becoming famous band, and woo the reluctant woman of my dreams who, is filming a documentary while I’m supposed to be flying under the radar. No problem.

Harlow: I work to become invisible. I hide behind the camera and capture everything. There’s a reason I’m so aloof I’m known as the Ice Queen. But I want Tremor for just one night. Just to prove something to myself. The problem is he seems like the kind of man who once he touches you, will never let go.

This is the fourth book of the “Chord Brothers” series and I must tell you, you are missing something worth if you aren’t reading this.

This book talks about Tremor and he has a very different personality when compared to Cole and Ryder.

Tremor and his band is famous now. Tremor has two responsibility now, his seven year old niece, Amanda and his love Harlow.

Everything was going good until one day he receives a call to safe his government as he was a cyber hacker too.

What happened then? Will Tremor be able to safe his government? Will he have good terms with Harlow? Was she hiding something from him?

This is a beautiful love story with complications. The way Tremor handles the responsibilities and love life is beautiful. The writing style of the author is impressive. The language is simple and easy to understand. It’s a heart wrenching read with lots of twists and turns. My favourite character is Tremor.

Title: Brothers In Arms

Author: Umesh

Genre: Non- fiction

Review:

The colour of your skin or where you come from should never affect how people look at you. The world changed after September 2001, when the twin towers were downed by two highjacked aircraft crashing into them and into the Pentagon.

People of all creed and colour condemned the attacks and the murder of innocents in the name of religion.

Brothers in arms do not care about the colour of your skin; for them, it is about the loyalty you have for one and another. When you are in heat of the battle, who cares if the person fighting next to you is from a different religion; he is your brother, he has your back and will die and fight with you.

What 9/11 did was paint a red target on every person of colour as a potential threat. All religions preach happiness, peace and love.

I have read the theory of 9/11 in school books but inclined towards this book, it turned to be a masterpiece. I have read a lot of genres but this one impressed me.

The story revolves around Aman who wanted to join the British Forces as his grandfather was an inspiration for him but his family was against him due to the violence being faced by them.

The author has dedicated this book to 21 brave soldiers headed by Havaldar Ishar Singh who was martyred in the Battle of Saragarhi.

The author has further discussed his life after 9th September 2001. How did it impacted Aman’s life ? Did he join the army ?

This book is worth reading. It’s about the sacrifices our real heroes go through. Brothers On Arms is a read that will break your heart into pieces.

This is a very heart wrenching read. It’s a story pf million soldiers who sacrifice their lives for their country. Love and Peace are the most essential components to live a happy and peaceful life.

Every aspect is accurate.

Author’s Message:

The underlying message is war is ugly,  honour and duty is important.  Most importantly love shines through. How families and life is affected by war…

 Title: Magical Foe Orchid -2

Author: Michele

Genre: Fiction

Review:

If you met Evi, Saelac, Liam, Leo and Elias in Blue Lotus Lily, do not miss them in Magical Fae Orchid! The adventure continues deeper and crazier as it intertwines, revealing long ago ties, old alliances and as together they forge new ones. The past arises making way for the future, everyone's included, as their kingdom expands in size and numbers. Unfortunately the path to growth is harried with old enemies and new; the friends will need strength to survive and come out stronger than they started.

Blue Lotus left off with Evi realizing her mother is in fact alive, but in a fractured state. Caius is gone; the Triumvirate is mostly destroyed. They are putting their energy into finding the sorcerer. There are a few complications along the way, werewolf induced, gargoyle induced or possibly best friend induced. The past is still honored and time traveling occurs, however the kingdom had started construction is definitely progressing.

There are familiar faces, new characters, and perhaps characters you have been waiting to meet. Evelyn learns her parentage and that some times, the world you build for yourself is better than the one you were searching for.

This is the second book of the series and it’s a masterpiece. Elias was my favourite character in part 1 with Evelyn for part 2. The storyline is very enjoyable and it’s a kind of a family story.

I would definitely recommend you to read both the parts and wait for the next book of the trilogy. You’ll enjoy till the end.

The cover and the title compliment each other. Simple and attractive. Truly Magical. Love yourself.

Author: Gaanz

Genre: Inspiration

Review:

Sixteen-year-old Rithanya can’t wait to go to boarding school and follow her dream of entering the Armed Forces Medical College. A far cry from the busy city life in her hometown of Bangalore, the strict, rural boarding school has strange rules and a stringent way of life for the students.

Once a bright and carefree girl, she falls into a terrible mental state of overwork and anxiety. Her deteriorating condition is of great concern to her family. Can Rithanya get better and continue her studies, or will the overwhelming pressure and her deteriorating mental health threaten to spoil her future plans?

The Ordealis the touching narration of the travails of a sixteen year old girl, her indomitable determination, the valiant gritty battle to overpower the devil in her own mind and the deserving victory; it is also a lucid moving tale of enduring human relationships, and the patience and forbearance of her loved ones.

This read was something very different, many of the teenagers/ adolescents face such problems. Life isn’t that easy that it seems to be. The characters are limited with a perfect storyline.

Spirits should always be high, no matter what. Never give up !! This book ended with such an inspirational vibe that I will definitely recommend you to read this book. This can change your life.

Author has beautifully given the message what she wanted to through the story. The language is simple and easy to understand. The cover is simple and defines the tone of the story.

Ordeal means a very unpleasant or difficult experience and that’s the story.

Beautiful and inspiring.

 Title: Rock Harder

Author: M.J. Roberts

Genre: Romance

Review:

This is the book 2 of the series: Rock Hard and another beautiful romance genre book.

After an unthinkable tragedy shakes his world as a teen, Bassist Jase Evanovich puts part of his life on hold to take care of his best friend, look after his little sister, and push his band toward fame. His charm, humor, and rip-roaring music get him through the day (if not sleep-tossed nights). His rock solid existence is shaken when a stunning beauty shows up surprising him with white-hot attraction and the beautiful face of his dead girlfriend.

Kate Warner is captivated by Jase immediately—too much. But she’s got a past laden with secrets and a strict directive not to date anyone in the band. With everything she’s ever worked for and her entire future on the line, she can’t take a chance on the strong, alpha hero who rocks harder than any man she’s ever met.

My favourite character is Kate. This series should be made as a movie or a web series, so captivating. Very mysterious read. The way author presents each scene is the best. This is the best series I have read this year.

Jase character is inspiring, despite so many hardships and obstacles, he managed everything. Will she accept Jase or will she be strict to her promise ?

If you didn’t read this, you are missing something really amazing and amazing. You will fall with the characters leaving their past behind. A marvellous read.

 Title: Other Side Of Silence

Author: Prashanth

Genre: Mystery

Review:

Have you ever seen a reader mixing up real and virtual life characters ?

This is a mystery story which revolves around Chaarvi who is happily married to Rishi. She is a vivid reader and has a syndrome where she is so engaged with the stories that she fails to analyse the difference between the characters and the real life people. She isn’t able to differentiate between fiction and reality.

The doctor has examined Chaarvi and stated that it is strange to conceive that the characters in the book, which Chaarvi reads, are haunting her. The doctor admits that he has read about this syndrome, but this one seems a bit different. “I have treated patients who feel excited about the characters they read and it seems this falls under the same category,” the doctor continues.

Chaarvi, who was concerned and frightened, replied in a shaky and unclear voice, "it has doubled in the recent past. Earlier I used to be excited, but now it makes me frightened."

How does Chaarvi, who is being tormented by this peculiar problem, deal with actual incidents in her life?

She and her husband Rishi visit a newly constructed building to purchase a flat. An unexpected incident puts them in jeopardy.

The series of events that followed and how the couple addressed the challenges that arose with the incident by dealing with Chaarvi’s problem form the crux of the tale that unfolds within the pages of this book.

This is a short and sorted read. The way author has presented the character of Chaarvi is engrossing. The storyline is unique and interesting. The best part about this book is a story within the story.

The title is beautiful with a beautiful cover. The language is simple and easy to understand.

 M Title: Rock Hard-1

Author: M.J. Roberts

Genre: Fiction

Review:

Drummer Ryder Chord has been living half a life since he was sixteen when a brutal tragedy strikes his family and he and his best friend hit the road. Ryder, desperate to forget, throws himself into touring life and writing music.

When Lexi joins the band, Ryder’s life becomes almost tolerable. Until one day when the rest of the band isn’t there and Ryder and Lexi have to share a hotel room: with only one bed.

Rule number one of band-dom: You never sleep with anyone in the band.

Rule number one of bro code: You never sleep with anyone’s sister. You definitely never sleep with your best friend’s little sister.

Rule number it’s so obvious it’s a count even a drummer can keep: You Never. Ever. Sleep with your best friend’s little sister when she’s in the band…and he is too.

This book is the first one of the series and this is a masterpiece, exceeded my expectations.

The characters are so beautiful that it makes the story more interesting and intriguing.

A different romance fiction read. It’s not like a normal read but with lots and lots of feelings combined together. It’s all about drama, sensual content and family relationships.

Hit Man’s character has been nicely narrated. This is a rock star read. A lovely read. This book seemed to be realistic and full of power.

Every character has a different aspect of life, the respect and love for each other is amazing. The band rules that I liked the most have been mentioned above. Respect for each other is very important and the author has beautifully forecasted that.

The language is simple and easy to understand. The title is beautiful and holds an emotion. Definitely recommended to every reader.

He reaches his hometown Mezo, a small town on the edge of the Balkan region, only to find the buried truth about the series of events that happened the same night when ‘Lenard house’ caught fire. An old commercial building at the heart of the town where his parents worked. And this visit to his homeland turns into an endless nightmare that leads him to the other side of the story which is way more direful and horrifying than he could ever imagine.

This is a nice paranormal story which you will be able to finish in few sittings. The plot is though centred on the horror fiction.  I liked the way author has presented the story with twists and turns.

There are two sides of the story, before going to the home and after going to the home, which is the turning point of the story. I could imagine ongoing scenes.

This book is definitely recommended to horror genre readers and to everyone who likes to read such stories !

Talking about the title and the cover, they compliment each other and makes the reader more into the book. The language is simple and easy to understand.

 Title: Diagnosis: Dementia Prognosis

Author: Judith

Genre: Non- fiction

Review:

There would be many who won’t be aware of the meaning of Dementia. Before starting with the review, I would like to tell you !

Dementia is a general term for loss of memory, language, problem-solving and other thinking abilities that are severe enough to interfere with daily life. Alzheimer's is the most common cause of dementia.

Dementia care for a loved one walks the fine line between knowing it won't last forever and the absolute horror that the final outcome is death. The beginning is unforeseen, but the end is inevitable.

Diagnosis Dementia-Prognosis Hope is a touching memoir of a mother-daughter journey through their journey with Dementia, made all the worse with the timing of the COVID-19 pandemic.

These stories capture the daily struggles, the momentary joys, and the complex challenges that compound the caregiving effort. Judith Kay speaks from the heart, sculpting each situation into hope-giving inspiration.

Seasoned with just the right amount of humor, this book is a must-read for caregivers, children of Dementia patients, and anyone who finds themselves involved with memory-challenged loved ones.

Dementia is not an individual struggle. It is a family disease affecting every facet of daily living. Judith Kay presents an inspirational glimpse into the day-to-day memory-challenged world she navigated with her mother, unprepared, untrained, and overwhelmed. Each story stands alone, yet simultaneously intertwines with the past, all the while foreshadowing what is yet to come.

This was the most heart wrenching read of this year. The bond, the memories lasts forever. The author has beautifully woven the feelings and the care required for Dementia patients, how difficult the situation is for not only the patient but also for the family.

Title: The Yodha Of Our Times

Author: Sonal

Genre: Poetic verses

Review:

The book is a collection of five inspirational stories of unsung Yodhas narrated in poetic verses.

These fictional stories explore the idea

of the changing perception on idealism and heroes beyond the traditional concept of one hero succumbing to painful sacrifices.

It highlights the emerging leaders and idols of our society, irrespective of their background, capabilities, and identity, and that a Yodha

could emerge in anyone who inspires to resolve issues that continue to play darts in our minds.

The compilation of these stories highlight the transformation and bent of humanity that accommodates identities among the common people.

It further emphasises on the determination of people to stand for the just and right ideas that have helped them emerge as the Yodha of our times.

This is a fantastic book written in poetic verses which carries different emotions. Each story is so touchy that you will keep reading it.

Yodha can emerge in anyone, one just has to see it. This is a beautiful read and you will enjoy reading.

The book is divided into five chapters:

1. Mystery of the Earthen Pot

2. The Pending Decision

3. Unlocked By The Ink

4. The Muffaliwallah

5. Daakiya’s Proposal

Every story is unique is in its own way. My favourite story is the Muffaliwallah, so deep and heart touching.

The title is creative with a beautiful and a simple cover. The book is recommended to everyone who would like to read light and simple book.

The stories are written in poetic form. Go and order your copy now!
