Review:
Do you know Jason ?
If you don’t then you should. An inspiration for many. This is the best memoir I’ve ever read by an author, I literally had tears while I was reading it. This is a real life story of a man.
The author starts the story when he was 5 years old. A harrowing memoir of a black man that digs into the nitty gritty of overcoming family dysfunction, bullying, incarceration and homelessness that feels like it's a conversation with a good friend. Vulnerable, well written, funny, and inspiring! Through it all, Jason Hill is brutally honest about his own flaws and shortcomings, holding nothing back.
This isn’t a normal book but a bundle of emotions hidden within a person and that’s Jason. I literally cried during the scene of the school. That was hard emotional.
My favourite person of this book is Jason as he teaches end number of youngsters and everyone to be happy no matter what. I am really proud of him as what he was and what he went through and what he is. His relationship with his elder brother Marc wasn’t good, I didn’t like him.
It was inspiring and emotional on the other hand. I could feel the pain and tears the author must had while writing this book. The title and the cover are attached to me for the rest of the journey, I can’t forget this memoir. ❤️💕
Don’t miss this book. The best memoir !!
