Leaving Phoenix is the first part of the series and it’s an astonishing one. It’s a journey to unravel through the past one didn’t know about. The story revolves around a girl, Phoebe and it’s a journey to her past. A single letter changed her world upside down when her grandpa sent her a letter which gave her the reality of the past. The past that’s haunting her now. Her mother was murdered and it wasn’t a natural death, she was traumatised by an abusive partner. What will she do ? What will be her reaction ?
The author will slowly transport the readers from the present to the past, and from past to the present. The characters are nicely narrated and magnificently portrayed. The language is simple and easy to understand. This can be read as the stand-alone as it has an ability to keep the readers hooked till the end. It’s a full mysterious read which will not allow you to read the novel for a second. The title is nice with a nice cover. It’s an engaging read. This book is a long read and you’ll enjoy it.
