Genre: Non- fiction

Review:

This is the second book I am reading by the author, and the story revolves around Kautilya's ancient masterpiece on governance, "The Arthashastra." The author has portrayed the story with a blend of historical anecdotes and contemporary examples, the book contains several intricate workings of governance, covering topics such as the responsibilities of rulers, economic management, urban planning, legal systems, and diplomacy. All these topics are very important for the youngsters to read and the understand beca they’re the ones shaping the future. The author has magnificently linked the ancient education with the contemporary challenges.

The story revolves around the rediscovery of the Arthashastra by Sanskrit scholar Rudrapatna Shamasastry in 1905 CE, highlighting its significance as India's contribution to global political thought. Written in simple language, the book aims to make Kautilya's complex ideas accessible to young readers, offering valuable insights into the challenges and strategies involved in governing a nation. The contribution of the Mauryan Empire to the contemporary world plays a huge role shaping the minds of the children. The author has given perfect examples that’ll impact in the best way possible. This book not only educate the children but also gives them a glimpse of history linked to the present of Kautilya's principles in contemporary geopolitics. The author has commendably written this book to bridge the gap between ancient texts and modern understanding, making it a valuable resource for young minds interested in the art of governance.
