Book Review !!

Title: Lies, Damned Lies And Tragedy

Author: Nayan Saraf

Genre: Fiction

Review:

‘I will destroy you, Avil Gill. I will destroy you. I’ll cut you into pieces.’

In the face of risk and reward, Avil Gill, a charismatic art director of the “Goa Museum and Emporium of Art”, embarks upon an unprecedented attempt at organizing “The Van Gogh” exhibition in his museum. His charisma, however, doesn’t bargain for the web of manipulative tactics spun by his foes, and after a spate of blunders, the precious Gogh paintings get stolen from right under his nose despite tight security.

An exquisite art show, a classic concert, a shot at unprecedented success and a chance at love possible on the same day come crumbling down in a gripping, roller coaster thriller as Avil Gill is destroyed by Treachery, Robbery and Murder.

Who is the reason for this doom? Will this crime be solved? Is this a revenge story from the past? Or just pure coincidence? Lies, Damned Lies, and Tragedy is simply unputdownable with its intrigue and suspense.

The characters are nicely narrated with my favourite Avil Gill. The way the story has taken a turn at the end was unexpected. I read this book in two settings. I have read a lot of mystery books but this one was a different one.  The story went slowly and it was a slow paced story. The storyline kept me reading as I wanted to know what next !

There are a lot of questions revolving around. Read this book to find the answers. Who stole the painting? Can you imagine that painting? Starry Night, I could imagine the painting.

Such a gripping story. A perfect combination of suspense and thrill. Language is lucid. The cover is impressive. The title is unique. A must read for suspense readers. Mr. Vyas’s character has been nicely portrayed.

This book is recommended to the ones who are into reading mystery books because they will understand the suspense created and unknown mystery.
